Meet the Editor 💻

Hello, I’m Julia Bubenik, a video editor and storyteller based in Austin, Texas. I first fell in love with editing back in 5th grade while making videos in Windows Movie Maker and that early interest eventually turned into a career built around telling meaningful stories through video.

Over the past six years, I’ve edited 200+ videos for all kinds of creators, brands and audiences. With a mix of self-taught skills, formal training and freelance experience, I’ve developed an editing style that focuses on making content feel engaging, polished and meaningful.

I graduated from the University of Texas with a double major in East Asian Studies and Radio-Television-Film and that combination has had a big impact on how I approach storytelling. I want to use my editing and post-production background to help bridge cultural gaps and create stronger understanding between American and East Asian communities. No matter the format, I’m drawn to stories that connect people and bring different perspectives into conversation.
